My approach is slightly different from a more traditional child psychiatrist’s, in that I strive to formulate a more comprehensive picture of the whole child, their family system, and the physical environment in which they are raised.  Though I have a great deal of experience with medication management, I also understand the importance of nutritional deficiencies, environmental toxins, and family and social dynamics as contributing factors to poor mental health.  My goal is to explore all of these areas, address problems where found and approach treatment from a more integrative model, using medications sparingly and only after contributing factors have been addressed and corrected.
